Scooby Doo Halloween Costumes

Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, Velma, Daphne

I grew up with the Scooby-Doo TV program. My sister and I watched it together, and often my father would join in as well. I had forgotten about Scooby and Shaggy and the entire gang until about 12 years ago when my sister's kids, my niece Helena and nephew Neil, started watching it -- and I would sometimes watch it with them! Now my kids, 6, 7, and 10 are big Scooby-Doo fans themselves. In fact they've been watching today, while I'm putting up this Web site on Scooby Doo Characters and their costumes in my kids honor!

Scooby-Doo Toddler Child CostumeWe'll look at Scooby Doo kids Halloween costumes, adult costumes, Velma Halloween costumes, and much more!

You could also home brew a costume and use these Deluxe Scooby-Doo Ears.

They come attached to a posable headband and are a great party gift too for kids.

One size for children, and they are made of polyester and plastic.

Kids love them and they are so easy to put on and off.

Of course all these costumes also make great group Halloween costumes and couple Halloween costumes. A couple could dress as Fred and Daphne for example or a group as the entire gang!

Did you know that the first version of Scooby Doo, Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, was produced  way back in 1969 by Hanna-Barbera, and numerous versions have appeared throughout the years?

The current incarnation is called Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated and it premiered on The Cartoon Network in July of 2010. That's the one my children usually watch, although they've seen many of the different shows in reruns on various networks.

Together with Scooby-Doo, Norville "Shaggy" Rogers, Velma Dinkley, Daphne Blake, Freddie Jones, and the Mystery Machine Van, they are joined in some shows by Scooby-Doo's nephew Scrappy-Doo and his cousin Scooby-Dum.

Hmmm, 41 years so far of Scooby! I wonder if it'll still be on when I have grandkids? Probably. I certainly hope so!
